In 2021, one of Ebhath's Egyptian board members, regardless of his position, began learning scientific research. He realized his English was limited and thus couldn't learn scientific research education through English resources; he found out there were almost no free, accessible, comprehensive and credible resources, or at least nothing comparable to the English resources. Thus, he was first required to study English, and devoted much of his life to first learn English to be able to learn scientific research and conduct research.
This didn't help except make him more aware that the gap is larger than he could imagine. For instance, if you search "what is common knowledge in research" in English, the top results are from Purdue, MIT, Scribbr, Carleton, Harvard, etc. But in Arabic, Wikipedia is your top, and only (this is not metaphorical), result. Other search results don't even relate to what you typed. For instance, the source after the first one (the Wikipedia) is talking about "how to find knowledge in your life." Literally a source that only relates to one word which is "knowledge" but very vague and mere. Truly, it was devastating to see that this is the case for a language that 422 million people speak.
This individual, after learning English, extensively studied research on both research programs (in English, with financial aid) or independently. Then, he could actually conduct research, and after doing this, he could actually finally publish many papers, not only mere literature reviews but also empirical research papers that can actually add to the body of knowledge. This man had a problem: could figure it out a solution for it: and thus wanted to share this solution to solve everyone's problems that are similar.
He firstly made a research program for people in his country and actually taught over 100 high school students (mostly juniors) research and made each team of 3 work to develop either a review or research paper. However, it didn't close the gap. The program was in English, and many were even from the US and other English-speaking countries, thus this gap of closing the Arabic people's problem wasn't closed, yet it was at least touched from far away on the outside.
Thus, Ebhath was developed, and our slogan is "our problems' represents everyone's solution." Whenever we face a problem, we find it promising as we will now impact other people's lives, as that a solution will be developed. Any student or staff member in Ebhath is taking this as a mission in life, where in each member's different life aspects, whenever they face a problem, they share their solutions always.
